GR Performance Parts Takes The 240sx Out On Track!
Last weekend was a perfect reason to dust off the ol' 240sx S13 and take it on track at Watkins Glen...
Being a somewhat local track to us (5 hours) we get up to the finger lakes region of New York quite often to drive the historical track we know as Watkins Glen International.
Participating in the National Auto Sports Association - North East division driver Rich has moved up the classes in the S13 to the HPDE3 class over the years. The goal for this car is to have it compete in Time Attack as we build the GR86 to be more of a streetcar class until the chassis ages a bit.
Like a lot of builds, Rich started off with the S13 as a daily modifying it slowly until the car evolved into a worthy contender on track.

Saturday being the coldest day during the weekend, Rich was able to squeeze out his personal best at Watkins Glen of a 2.22 amongst some of the traffic and faster class cars. We definitely think there is more time left out of the car as is to get it into the mid 2 minute teens.
It was awesome to see the Toyota GR guys who recently bought either a 86 or Supra using their annual NASA membership and getting on track. We enjoyed walking around the paddock and seeing the direction our customers have taken with their cars!
