The Addition of a GR Supra

GR Performance Parts is committed to supporting the Toyota GR lineup for aftermarket parts. To best support the aftermarket and the GR cars we have always strived to be hands on. We feel it is important for the company to have access to each GR car. Having the GR line up allows us to be an experience resource on the cars and aftermarket parts.

It has taken sometime but we have at last added the final car to the GRPP line up, a 2024 Sub Zero, GR Supra. The Supra is a Premium trim paired with the ZF 8 speed automatic. We think it pairs nicely with our White GR86 and Black GR Corolla. The Supra is just being broken in with only 200 miles at the time of this writing.

The Supra will receive a few basic mods over the next several months but will remain in a relatively stock spec until next year. Our Supra will first be going to get 3M PPF installed on the front bumper, hood, fenders, and rocker panels to keep that wonderful Sub Zero paint rock chip free. Next the car will see one of the aftermarkets effective anti-buffeting wind deflectors. The decreased buffeting will be welcomed when windows are down and squeezing on the go fast pedal. All of the Supra’s go will be paired with equal portions of whoa thanks to our iSweep brake partnership. Finally we plan to do a stud conversion so it is easier swapping wheels and tires moving forward.

We expect the Supra will find its way onto one or two racetracks this season and certainly some autocross/car control clinics. Learning the Supra’s pros and cons on the street and track over the next few months will be exciting. Ultimately, we plan for the Supra to be a wonderful street car that is up to the tasks of back road blasts, road trips, autocross, and track driving. In our shop fleet it will be more of the GT car but we hold the right to go completely wild with it down the line.

There is a lot to be excited about in the months and year to come. We know the future may not be black and white but the shop cars sure are.
