The GR Supra is the pinnacle of Toyota's GR brand performance car. It is a model name made famous by the MK4 Supra and carries weight in the minds of Toyota enthusiast. The Supra's history also grants it an affiliation with a turbo charged inline 6 cylinder, any other power train would divert from the models lineage. To make the GR Supra a reality Toyota partnered with BMW to bring us a powertrain worthy of the Supra name plate. Purists may have their rightful objections however Toyota's partnership made it possible to stay true to the Supra ethos. Is this the last time we will see a turbo inline 6 Supra?
